With mere cooling the minimum body temperature is always on the surface. With mere heating, it is always in the centre of the body. With changing heating and cooling, it is located somewhere within the body.
With mere cooling the maximum body temperature is always in the body centre. With mere heating, it is always on the surface. With changing heating and cooling, it is located somewhere within the body.
The average body temperature is the value arithmetically averaged over the whole body cross section at every location
To receive correct results from the stepwise temperature calculation, you must not select the temporal and local resolution too small. On the other hand it must not be too large as the calculation time increases squared with the number of location steps.
The E2 module has an automatic system to select the optimum resolution. You only have to specify the system data (temperatures, properties, heat transfer coefficients, time)
You can switch off this automatic system and then you can specify the temporal or local resolution.
