a) Gases: gases, liquefied gases, gases dissolved under pressure, vapors and also those liquids whose vapor pressure at the maximum allowable temperature is greater than 0,5 bar above normal atmospheric  pressure (1013 mbar)

b) Piping intended for unstable gases and falling within categories I or II on the basis of Table 6 must be classified in category III. (Unstable gas is gas or vapor with a risk of sudden decomposition. If this decomposition takes place within an enclosed volume solely by slightly changing a single operating parameter, there is a pressure  fluctuation.)

c) All piping containing fluids at a temperature greater than 350 ºC and falling within category II on the basis of Table 7 must be classified in category III.

d) Liquids: liquids whose vapor pressure at the maximum allowable temperature is greater than 0,5 bar above normal atmospheric  pressure,  (1 013  mbar)
