Calculation Example

Design of a wire mesh demister

Example from Armin Bürkholz, Droplet Separation, VCH Verlag 1989

Task

An existing wire mesh demister shows measured fractional collection efficiencies for five different gas velocities.

In this example we want to compare the measured values with the calculated values.

Literature:  Armin Bürkholz, Droplet Separation, VCH Verlag 1989
